Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-08
Scope
This Policy applies to all SourceSight products, websites and any future APIs, and forms part of the Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this Policy.
Permitted use
1. Monitoring your own or authorized brands: You may create projects for brands and domains you own, operate or are authorized to monitor.
2. Compliant monitoring of competitors and industry keywords: For reasonable purposes such as commentary and comparison, you may monitor competitor mentions, industry keywords and co-listed brands in public AI answers. This is a core function of the Service.
3. Site audits and optimization: Run site audits only on websites you own or are authorized to modify, and deploy generated llms.txt and Schema structured data to your own sites.
4. Reports and white-label delivery: Within the limits of your subscription, you may use reports internally or deliver them to your clients (white-label reports). You may not remove required statements from reports or present them as issued by third-party or authoritative institutions.
Prohibited conduct
You may not use the Service for any deceptive, manipulative, infringing or abusive purpose, including but not limited to:
1. Spam and ranking manipulation: Do not use the Service to generate keyword stuffing, cloaked text or large volumes of duplicate content, or attempt to deceive or manipulate answers, rankings or recommendations in AI engines or search engines. SourceSight helps real content become easier to understand and cite; it cannot guarantee top rankings or recommendations, and you may not claim otherwise.
2. Unauthorized site audits and scraping: Do not run audits on, scrape page content from, or bulk export and redistribute data from websites you don't own or control, or aren't authorized to access.
3. Abuse of engine outputs: Do not use the Service's audits and prompt library to bulk extract or accumulate AI engine outputs for resale, third-party datasets or model training, or circumvent project quotas, credit mechanisms or rate limits to expand query volume.
4. Boundaries of competitor monitoring: Monitoring public mentions of competitors is permitted, but you may not fabricate competitor information, publish defamatory or false comparisons, impersonate competitors, or falsify their identities or data.
5. Content compliance: Do not use analysis reports, AI rewrite suggestions or content drafts to create, promote or distribute pornographic, violent, hateful or discriminatory content, or content that infringes others' privacy, reputation or likeness.
6. False endorsement claims: Do not imply that your brand has an official partnership, certification or endorsement from OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity or any other AI engine or platform. SourceSight monitors these engines' public performance and has no such partnership.
7. Report authenticity: Do not alter report screenshots, fabricate citation sources, falsify audit results or invent customer cases for marketing, bidding or public promotion.
8. Account and system security: Do not reverse engineer, crack or interfere with the platform or third-party engines; do not register multiple accounts to circumvent free allowances, trials or pricing plans; do not share, resell or publicly distribute account access beyond what team features allow.
9. Fraud and misleading conduct: Do not use the Service or reports to commit financial fraud, make false claims, mislead consumers or impersonate others.
Your responsibilities
You warrant that you have the necessary rights to the projects and audit subjects you create, that your external use of reports complies with applicable law, industry rules and client contracts, and that any use of third-party trademarks or content is limited to reasonable purposes such as commentary and comparison. You bear full responsibility for any violation of this Policy.
Monitoring and enforcement
We may monitor usage of the Service. If you violate this Policy, we may suspend or terminate your account and delete related data with or without notice (including immediately in emergency or unlawful circumstances), and the Refund Policy does not apply.
You bear all losses resulting from such violation.
Updates and interpretation
We may update this Policy from time to time. If a material change occurs, we will notify you via in-app notification or the email address on your account, and update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy; where applicable law requires separate consent, we will obtain it as required. SourceSight reserves the sole right to interpret this Policy. To report abuse, contact support@sourcesight.app.
